AHH! - Canned Foods

AHH! is a band made to dismantle the veils on the uncomfortable. The blood stains on green grass turns our world gray, smogged in corruption, greed, and hate. Its easy to want to turn away from it all, this maddening reality. I just wanna scream about it. АНННННН!!!

Canned Food is about the repackaging of reality. The chopping and blending of events all culminated into word vomit soup, canned and labeled for your consumption. It's a critique on institutions, the narratives they sell, and the people who buy into them. Ultimately, its about taking those in power at their word. When you don't think critically about the meaning or motives behind what someone is saying, truth is all you hear.

Kaden Theisen –Television Soup - Where'd Your Mind Go?

My name is Kaden Theisen, also known as Television Soup. I wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered "Where'd Your Mind Go", along with the rest of the five-song EP, "Two". This is my second release under the name Television Soup following my first self-titled EP. "Two" was inspired by a mixture of my own life events and stories I've created, with sounds inspired by indie-rock and adjacent artists from Turnover to the Cure. I think I tend to be inspired by whatever events and genres I am into at that time, and incorporate aspects of music that I know I would enjoy. Essentially, this album was meant to create music that I could listen to and enjoy. I had a desire to produce a product that would show an artistic and musical evolution from my first EP, which was the spark that started this project.

Where'd Your Mind Go was inspired by events in my life and the mixture of exciting and disheartening events of a growing young adult, taking the listener on a journey through a story that is meant for people to be able to relate to. The lyrics are paired with catchy and laid-back, yet danceable music - something that tends to draw me to the music that I listen to myself. Where'd Your Mind Go is the first song on "Two", and sets up the rest of the project for more indie-rock sounds and storytelling lyrics. This song is my favorite that I have produced so far in my music career, and inspires me to keep creating.

Kathleen Kennerly - Security

My name is Kathleen K, I'm a junior here at App majoring in Graphic Communications Management! I grew up in Asheville, NC surrounded by music of all genres. I've been heavily involved in choir and theater since I could sing, which eventually led me to start songwriting. I wrote my first song in the eighth grade, and it was horrible. Since then I have taught myself piano, a little bit of guitar, and music softwares such as Garageband and Logic. I didn't release a song until August 2021, since then I've learned a lot and have grown a lot.

"Security" is my third single, and a song I wrote about a year and a half ago, after what usually sparks inspiration- love life drama. This song is about the feeling that sometimes it's easier to be alone. Some people lie, some are selfish, and some just don't care. And that's okay! Having "the security of seclusion" can be better than dealing with everything that comes with its opposite. I wanted this song to sweep you away in a wave of synths, drums, and harmonies. Almost acting like a bandaid for a cracked heart. Releasing music is difficult for me, as it is so personal but I am learning to not care! I am slowly finding a way to make my music sound like me, and with each song I get closer to her.
